So cool that you've been writing books for over 10 years just for the love of it. I wrote for purely myself my entire life up until a year ago when I started sharing on Substack.... when I write just for myself I find myself writing more poetically and take more risks than I would if I was writing with the intention to publish.

oooooo and I love to make collages just for myself!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Reid! Yes, yes, yes to being able to take more risks! It’s so freeing. What kind of collages? 😍

The collages are made of everything from Magazine clippings, newspaper clippings, dove chocolate wrappers, and hand drawn hehehe. I find it so fulfilling and meditative.

Oh, I flippin’ LOVE this Bella! What a beautiful way to exist in the world. You’ve inspired me to start making time for writing just for myself again, like I did when I was a child x

Oh Lauren, I appreciate your comment so much! It’s not always easy and I do wonder if I’m mad sometimes... but it’s far and away my favourite way to spend my time ✨

This was so inspiring to read! I feel like the biggest pressure with writing is writing for an audience but what if I just wrote a book for myself, just like how I write in my journal. What a concept! Thank you

Haha I know! It feels a little mad to say it now in a world dominated by social media and documenting everything. Thank you so much for your lovely comment, Marco!

Good for you! The only type of writing that has ever really fuelled me creatively is the type I do on my Substack, which is why this platform works so well for me, but I do find that I have an easier time writing if I do so with the mindset that if I decide it's not up to scratch, I can abandon what I've written and still have enjoyed the process. Writing books in your spare time must give you such a sense of accomplishment, thank you for sharing! 📚

This is such a lovely read! I love to craft. At the moment I’m particularly drawn to sewing, embroidery, crochet and knitting. I do like to share my projects as a way of encouraging others who think they can’t do it to give it a try if they want to. Quite often I’m so in the zone I forget to take pictures or videos though 😅
