I've been a long-term user of LinkedIn and yes, it's very much a platform for large corporations and the professional speak. Though it may seem dry, its meant to be that way because we're doing business here. While I've appreciated the short vids that have popped up in the recent years, I've only appreciated those that are actually well-made, instead of backyard type of recording yourself. It has to be, because corporate folks don't have time to waste. Content needs to be on point, meaningful and well done.
Otherwise, you'll be looked down upon or ignored and told to go to Facebook or Insta if your content doesn't suit.
You make a very good point. The content standards and expectations are still high on LinkedInβso if youβre going to show up there and make the most of that opportunity, it needs to be with value and quality. The same way you would on instagram!
Very interesting! I have dipped in and out of LinkedIn over the years, but have never somehow found my feet. I frequently find myself saying I should give it another go!
I definitely don't want to encourage shiny object syndrome... but it definitely is worth a consideration, David! Don't be put off by the weird corporate over-shares haha.
hmmm i always find this a tricky question to answer Bella.
i create unapologetic pop art with a vintage twist & i reckon my work is for self empowered females & LGBTQ+ & i should also add it's for those females & LGBTQ+ that want to be empowered & reminded of who they are & why is it important that they are truly themselves.
i did an instagram post today saying "i think everyone should be the kween of their own story"
i can't say a specific age group really but i think 21+
